Amy Winehouse Rumors Confirmed

02 Jun, 2008 >> 007 Music

The rumors we’ve heard for months about Amy Winehouse singing the title track for “QoS” have some truth to them.

That's right; the rumors about Amy Winehouse singing the title track for Quntum of Solace that we have heard for months do have some truth to them according to BBC NEWS.

According to their report, Amy Winehouse is working on a theme song for the upcoming 007 film Quantum of Solace with producer Mark Ronson.

"Hopefully it will get used. We're working on it and we'll see happens" - Mark Ronson

Even though it is now confirmed that Amy Winehouse is being considered for the part, nothing is for sure, all we do know for sure is that she is recording something that could possible be used in Quantum of Solace.

"The demo sounds like a James Bond theme, hopefully. But I don't know if it'll get used. I'm sure there are loads more really famous people that probably we're competing with and we don't know about. I'm not sure. But hopefully I'll still be alive for at least 12 more Bond themes. If we don't get this one maybe we'll get another one." - Mark Ronson

Some of you may remember the past report by the sun regarding this very same news, most passed it off as pure rumor though. You may also remember when Beetles legend Paul McCartney endorsed Any Winehouse for the Bond theme stating that:

"I think Amy Winehouse would be really good, and I think she would do a really good job. My advice to her would be not to try and rhyme Solace with anything - that's too hard", McCartney said.
